Nitin Tyagi

Nitin Tyagi is an experienced business and technology professional with a proven track record in successfully leading enterprise wide programs. Currently, he is a manager in the IT advisory division of KPMG Canada. He has provided consulting services to a variety of clients in the following industries:
- Technology
- Public Sector
- Digital Marketing
- Retail
- Financial Services
Previously, Nitin worked as a program manager for a fintech company called Hyperwallet (now a PayPal company). At Hyperwallet, Nitin led several IT compliance and cross functional programs that enabled the organization to successfully on-board fortune 500 clients and banking partners. Nitin’s skill set includes cross-functional team leadership, project management and technology risk management. Nitin has also provided mentorship to younger colleagues in achieving their professional and personal goals. A lifelong learner, Nitin holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia along with many professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CISA, CISSP and CCSP. A strong believer in the power of networking and professional development, Nitin regularly attends events and courses organized by professional organizations such as PMI CWCC, Vancouver Cloud Security Alliance and Vancouver Security Special Interest Group.
He is extremely passionate about analysing the impact of new emerging technologies on existing business models as well as on the practice of project management. Despite his curiosity regarding new emerging technologies, Nitin believes the successful outcome of any project will always be driven by authentic relationships between the humans involved in the project. During his free time, Nitin can be found at salsa and Latin dancing events with his wife. Despite his best efforts, Nitin has not been able to master the art of speaking Portuguese. Nitin’s wife still needs to act as a translator during his conversations with his Brazilian in-laws.
