Responsibility:
The Canadian West Coast Chapter's President plays a dual role - Chair of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. The President is responsible for overall Chapter governance, leading strategic and operational planning, aligning our operations with membership needs, and ensuring our financial sustainability.
As CWCC PMI President, I am guided by our strategic plan to realize our chapter vision, mission and objectives envisioned by our Chapter Board. Benefiting from our diverse talent and capabilities, I lead our Board to expand our member programs through their various portfolios.
I am committed to successfully meeting Chapter goals and initiatives by presiding over the monthly board meetings, our (AGM) annual general meeting, and our CWCC annual conference. Along with the VP of Finance and the elected CWCC Board, I would ensure the ethical disbursement of our Chapter funds and serve as the primary liaison with PMI®.
I am a Project Manager at BGIS, Brookfield Global Integrated Solutions working on Construction and Energy Sustainability projects for the Pacific Region. Previously, I worked for over 20 years in broadcast media in post-production management. I also worked at BC Hydro as a Project Cost Analyst in (CIPD) Capital Infrastructure Project Delivery and was part of the team which shared in the success of BC Hydro’s PMI “PMO of the Year 2016” award.
In 2017, I was accepted in the PMI Leadership Institute Master Class Program, LIMC2018 with 35 other international Chapter Leaders and continue to build relationships of value and respect with other leaders locally and internationally.
As part of the global community of Chapter Leaders, I serve as liaison and ambassador to bring special guests that offer value to our members. A personal and continued goal is to nurture new volunteers that show talent and commitment to our CWCC PMI association, as well as to mentor emerging volunteer leaders for future Board positions.
